The Masked Singer loses to SAS Australia in TV ratings war

The Masked Singer loses to SAS Australia in Monday’s TV ratings war – as it records its lowest ever numbers for a premiere

The Masked Singer has came out with a disappointing result in Monday’s TV ratings war after facing a neck-on-neck battle with the premiere of SAS Australia.

The third season of the Network 10 series opened to a modest 642,000 metro viewers before spiking to 760,000 during the first celebrity reveal, which was English actor and former footballer Vinnie Jones.

The show ended up recording its lowest debut ratings ever and was outmatched by SAS Australia before the reveal.

The reveal segment, while providing a much-needed boost for the show, was also down from 2020’s reveal – dropping 12.4% from 823,000 to 760,000.
