Jack O’Connell and Connor Swindells were seen filming dramatic scenes for BBC One drama SAS: Rogue Heroes in Gloucestershire on Thursday.

The Skins star, 30, and Sex Education actor, 24, shot action-packed scenes in a quarry, with the former crash landing with a parachute in a stunt that saw him briefly dragged on the ground.

Connor, meanwhile, had been covered in fake blood and dirt for the scenes, and when cameras began rolling he appeared worse for wear as he looked around himself with an exasperated expression.

Jack transformed into his character Paddy Mayne, who was one of the founding members of the SAS, by wearing an olive-green onesie, helmet and lace-up boots that protected him during the stunt.

He was seen grappling with his parachute during the scene after seemingly landing into the quarry, and for the shoot it appeared he was struggling to release the parachute after deploying it.

Connor also wore the same uniform as Jack but he also had goggles places over his brunet locks that were brushed into a tousled style for the scenes.

His character, David Stirling, was also a founding member of the SAS, a commando force that operated behind enemy lines during the UK’s North Africa campaign.

SAS: Rogue Heroes is being adapted from Ben Macintyre’s book of the same name, it follows real-life Special Forces unit, the SAS, and will show how they were formed during the Second World War.

Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight is working on the project, while other actors set to make an appearance include Dominic West, Alfie Allen, and Sofia Boutella.

According to Variety filming has already underway for the drama for over a month, and it is being directed by The Serpent’s Tom Shankland.

Dominic has been cast as lothario Dudley Wrangel Clarke in the new BBC One drama, a real-life World War II spy who was known to be surrounded by women who were referred to as ‘Dudley’s Duchesses’.

Clarke was seen as a master of espionage during the Second World War, and was once arrested in Madrid while wearing a dress.
