Is Matty ‘J’ Johnson ‘The Professor’? Former Bachelor star addresses rumours he is behind one of the costumes on The Masked Singer

Matty ‘J’ Johnson has shut down rumours he is ‘The Professor’ on The Masked Singer.

The former Bachelor addressed the speculation after he was messaged by fans of the Ten series following Monday night’s premiere episode.

‘A lot of people messaging me this morning and last night about The Masked Singer,’ the 34-year-old said.

Shutting down the rumours: The Bachelor’s Matty ‘J’ Johnson has revealed why he couldn’t possibly be The Professor mask on The Masked Singer

‘There’s a contestant called The Professor and, unfortunately, it’s not me,’ he continued. ‘As much as I’d like it to be me, it’s not.’

After struggling to pronounce the ‘masked’ in masked singer, Matt played a clip from the show last night where The Professor sings a rendition of Dumb Things by Paul Kelly.

Matt then recorded himself singing the song to compare his voice to The Professor.

‘You be the judge…’ the reality TV star wrote in the caption of the clip.

Once he completed the verse, Matt noticed the similarities in the voices and joked, ‘Actually it could be me!’

He then shared a screenshot of a message from a follower who cheekily criticised his singing abilities and made the suggestion that he’d be better suited to SAS Australia, which also premiered last night.
