He’s become a social media influencer since finding fame on Married At First Sight, and boasts more than 65,600 followers on Instagram.

But it appears Liam Cooper’s following could include 25,260 ‘fake’ or or dormant followers, according to an audit report by FakeCheck.co

The former prison worker’s social engagement doesn’t align with the number of followers he has, the website claims.

However, Liam has denied buying Instagram followers – a practice employed by some reality stars – telling Daily Mail Australia he’s ‘not about that life’.

When asked about his suspicious followers, he said it was likely ‘the work of trolls’.

His average likes make up only 2.15 per cent of her following, but the FakeCheck.co report claims it should be above 3.5 per cent.

Liam’s account receives on average 1,415 likes per post. For an account with 65,676 followers, his posts should supposedly get a minimum of 2,299 likes per post. 

Meanwhile, his comments percentage is just 0.094 per cent when it apparently should be above 0.2 per cent.

While it’s not suggested Liam paid for followers himself, the report claims that 25,262 of his followers are ‘possibly fake’ or dormant accounts.

Liam has gained 25,000 Instagram followers, many of them from India, since Married At First Sight concluded in April. India is also known for its ‘bot farms’.

SocialBlade statistics show his follower count jumping by several thousand at once, which indicates bot accounts may have followed him en masse.

False accounts often have usernames with strange combinations of numbers and letters. Many of Liam’s followers usernames of this sort.
