Jimmy Kimmel decided to be Ben Affleck‘s sidekick quite literally during the Global Citizen VAX LIVE: The Concert To Reunite The World on Sunday night.

The 53-year-old Kimmel took to the stage wearing a replica of Burt Ward’s Robin costume from the original 1960s Batman TV series.

Affleck portrayed Batman in the 2016 superhero adventure Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and 2017’s Justice League, with a cameo in 2017’s Suicide Squad.

Affleck did not dress up as the Caped Crusader alongside his longtime friend Kimmel, though.

The actor stepped out in a classic black suit with a white dress shirt under his black coat but no tie.

He completed his look with black pants and shiny black shoes for his appearance at the concert.

Kimmel must not have gotten the memo that Affleck wasn’t dressing up like Batman, stepping on stage in the iconic orange, green and yellow Robin costume.

He even has the black face mask, green gloves  and green shoes with a yellow cape tied around his neck.

Kimmel and Affleck’s childhood friend Matt Damon have had a playful ‘rivalry’ throughout the years, with Kimmel ending every episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live by apologizing to Matt Damon for running out of time.

While the rivalry is often played up on the show, in reality Kimmel, Damon and Affleck are all close friends.

Both Affleck and Damon took part in parody songs by Kimmel’s girlfriend at the time, Sarah Silverman, entitled thusly, ‘I’m F***ing Matt Damon’ and ‘I’m F***ing Ben Affleck.

Affleck was even ‘caught’ trying to sneak Damon onto the Jimmy Kimmel live set during an episode in 2016.
