Jenna reflected on playing Dharma during the interview, calling the iconic character ‘ahead of her time’.

‘I think Dharma is a great role model for owning who you are, not apologising or needing permission from others to be who you really are,’ she said.

‘And I think that she was a little ahead of her time in that way and I think that’s a true feminist, someone who just owns who they are as a woman,’ she added.

Dharma & Greg originally aired for five seasons from 1997 to 2002.

Jenna recently returned to the spotlight in a major way thanks to a starring role in The Walking Dead spin-off, Fear The Walking Dead.

She joined the series in season four as the mysterious nurse June Dorie.

‘I love hearing their viewpoints and theories,’ she said, adding that she even personally FaceTimes with some fans.
