During a sit-down interview at YouTube’s virtual Pride celebration, Demi said officially changing their pronouns to they/them and has been ‘so rewarding.’

‘I’m so grateful that my fans and my friends are as wonderful as they are,’  Lovato gushed at the time.

While rocking a t-shirt with the word ‘gay’ written on it over a rainbow flag, Lovato was asked to reflect on their first Pride after coming out as nonbinary, which means they does not exclusively identify as a man or a woman.

‘It feels incredible, I just feel like I’m finally showing the world my truth, too,’ Demi explained.

The two-time Grammy nominee went on to say: ‘It’s been really cool.’

Lovato also revealed they ‘actually had come out to loved ones and friends last year.’

‘This year, I made it public. I felt it was really important for me to share that with the world’ the former Disney Channel star noted.
