Home and Away’s Dan Ewing has viewers in stitches after repeatedly talking about himself in the third person during SAS Australia premiere

Dan Ewing made quite an introduction in the premiere of SAS Australia on Monday.

Audiences got a kick out of the former Home and Away star as he bizarrely referred to himself in the third person while introducing himself and his reason for joining the show.

The 36-year-old said: ‘Stepping into SAS selection is quite interesting undertaking. There’s no acting. This is Dan Ewing.’

‘So, what does Dan Ewing do when he is sleep deprived? What will Dan do when he hasn’t eaten, when he is freezing cold, getting screamed at, called all sorts of things?

‘What does Dan Ewing do when his back is against the wall?’ he asked.

Viewers flocked to Twitter in stitches over the actor’s monologue, including one who wrote: ‘Why is Dan Ewing referring to himself in the third person?’

Dan, like his fellow recruits, was exposed to tear gas in an enclosed tent and forced to strip down during Monday’s premiere.

He continued in his introduction: ‘I have nothing to prove doing SAS, I’m doing SAS because I choose to.

‘I’m really great at my mental health, my spiritual health, I keep my emotions in check,’ the actor added.
