Courteney Cox accompanies her daughter Coco, 16, for a performance of Taylor Swift’s Cardigan 

She’s already a world-famous actress from her decade starring on Friends.

And Courteney Cox showed she’s also been cultivating a musical family when she accompanied her 16-year-old daughter Coco in a soothing cover of Taylor Swift‘s number one hit Cardigan.

The 56-year-old star showed off her serviceable piano skills while her daughter held down the vocals.

Courteney and Coco picked a gorgeous location for their performance, with a blue evening sky over the ocean hovering in the background.

The Scream actress wore a simple cream-colored blouse with black pants, while her daughter wore a charcoal sweatshirt with lighter gray sweatpants decorated with red designs. 

The minimalist song was further fleshed out with acoustic strumming from guitarist Joel Taylor in the background.

The TV star only included a small portion of the song for her video.

She periodically turns to face her daughter while seeming to beam with pride at her musical talents. 

Cardigan was the lead single on Taylor Swift’s 2020 surprise album Folklore, which saw the singer trying out a new style inspired by folk music and indie artists like The National and Bon Iver. 

The Mother’s Day–themed clip appeared to be promotion the upcoming season of Courteney’s Facebook Watch series 9 Months With Courteney Cox, which will premiere on Sunday, May 9.

‘Ahhhh- mazing!! Go @cocoarquette,’ commented Courtney’s friend Reese Witherspoon.

Queer Eye’s Tan France praised Coco’s smoky voice, writing, ‘She sings so beautifully.’

The celebrity jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer was overcome with emotion at the performance, adding, ‘I just cried.’

Courteney shares her daughter with her ex-husband David Arquette, whom she was married to from 1999 until their separation in 2010.

The two have continued to be good friends as well as committed coparents to their teenage daughter. 

Courteney recently filmed a reunion episode of her classic sitcom Friends featuring all of the main cast together at last, though they’ll be out of character and the special will be unscripted.

During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show earlier this week, she described the reunion with her former costars as ‘so unbelievable’ and ‘so emotional.’

Courteney was particularly moved by getting to go back to their old stage to film the reunion.

‘It’s an unscripted reunion and we got to be on Stage 24 for the first time with all of us in, I forget how many years. 15 years? 17 years?’ she explained.

‘It was great. It was really fun. We had a lot of special surprises — and it was fantastic. It really was,’ she gushed. 

Ellen asked her if there was ‘stuff that came up that y’all forgot about?’

She also teased that there were a lot of ‘special surprises’ that fans would likely be excited to see. 

Ellen also revealed int he episode that she was staying at Courteney’s home in LA with her wife Portia de Rossi while she was away after she sold her own Beverly Hills home and needed a place to crash for the time being.
