Cardi B links arms with husband Offset during romantic dinner date

They’re a handful months away from celebrating four years of marriage, after secretly tying the knot back in September 2017.

And Cardi B and her husband Offset looked as loved up as ever, when they were spotted going on a romantic dinner date to Craig’s in West Hollywood on Thursday.

WAP hitmaker Cardi, 28, caught the eye in a black-and-beige patterned trouser suit as she linked arms with her rapper partner, 29, while strolling out of the eatery.

Meanwhile, Migos star Offset looked casually cool in a green Lanvin sweater, teamed with camouflage-print trousers and a beanie emblazoned with the word ‘sex’.

Also sporting a pair of tinted shades, the musician further jazzed up his eclectic ensemble with a selection of chunky platinum chains and diamond stud earrings.

The couple – who are parents of daughter Kulture, two – appeared to be in good spirits as they chatted with one another while making their way to a waiting vehicle.

Offset and Cardi B first met in 2017 and soon started dating, though by the summer of 2018, there were rumours that they had already married months before in secret.

While on stage during the BET Awards, Offset said, ‘I thank my wife. You should thank yours,’ before it was confirmed they were married in Fulton County, Georgia in late September 2017.

Their relationship has not been without struggles, though, with Cardi, real name Belcalis Almánzar, announcing in December 2018 that they had broken up.

She revealed that they split because Offset, real name Kiari Cephus, reportedly cheated on her while she was pregnant with their only child Kulture.

Cardi also reportedly filed for divorce from Offset back in September 2020, but a month later there were new reports that they were back together.

Aside from his work with Migos, Offset released his debut solo album, Father of 4, in 2019, referencing his four children, who all appear on the album cover.

Along with Kulture, Offset is father to Jordan Cephus with Justine Watson, Kody Cephus with Oriel Jamie and Kalea Marie Cephus with Shya L’Amour.

Meanwhile, Cardi B’s company Washpoppin Inc. filed legal documents recently, securing the rights to trademark the name ‘Bardi Beauty’.

According to TMZ, Cardi plans to use Bardi Beauty to market a slew of different products including makeup, fragrances, haircare, skincare and nail polish.

It would be the Grammy-winner’s first foray into the beauty space; Cardi B has already successfully teamed up with clothing and footwear brands including Fashion Nova, Reebok and Steve Madden for exclusive collections.

In May 2019, the superstar’s collaboration with top online retail store Fashion Nova almost sold out on its first day, bringing in over $1 million in sales.

And the news does not come as a big surprise. Last month, Cardi announced on her Instagram page that she would be creating her own ethnic hair care line.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight in 2019, the Bodack Yellow singer said her beauty line would be coming ‘very’ soon and it was ‘something she wanted to do.’

Bardi Beauty will be joining a crowded field of celebrity-owned beauty brands, competing against industry titans including Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty and Lady Gaga’s Haus Laboratories.

But the Bodak Yellow hitmaker seems more than up for the challenge. The rap star recently said she thinks fame and success has made her feel more hungry.

Cardi, who worked as a stripper before becoming one of the world’s best-selling artists, took to Twitter to suggest that money had changed her appetite, admitting she never felt as hungry when she was ‘broke’.

The I Like It singer wrote on the micro-blogging platform: ‘Why am I always so hungry ?! [sad face emoji] I swear I was never this hungry when I was broke. (sic)’

Cardi has previously suggested that she was happier before finding fame.

She explained: ‘I feel like I was a little bit happier two or three years ago when I had less money.

‘I had less people who had opinions about my life. I felt like my life was mine. Now I feel like I don’t even own my life. I feel like the world owns me.’

Cardi also insisted she takes inspiration from things and people who exist outside the celebrity world.

She said: ‘My role models are the people around me who I see working. Like for example, my mom would come home from work and get cooking right away.

‘I also admire my homegirl, right? She used to strip. As soon as she would come home at five or six in the morning, she would finish counting singles, then get her son ready for school, and boom, take him to school.’

Despite this, Cardi acknowledged that there are some positive aspects to being famous.

The rap star reflected: ‘My family, whatever they want, they get. Everything that I want to buy, I can get. I don’t have to worry so much about my future.’
