Amy Shark has slammed Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk after she attended the Super Rugby grand final in Brisbane on Saturday.

The 51-year-old politician shared a beaming photo of herself in the stands at the packed Suncorp Stadium alongside Queensland Sport Minister Stirling Hinchliffe on social media.

But Amy, 34, took offence at the fact that sports games had been allowed to resume while the music industry still suffered under COVID restrictions.

‘Queensland are the comeback kings! What a win @Reds_Rugby in front of 41,637 fans at Suncorp Stadium,’ Palaszczuk captioned the photo.

Amy retweeted her post and tagged the Premier, asking for ‘help’ on behalf of those in the music industry.

In the photo, Palaszczuk can be seen grinning happily while flashing the camera an excited thumbs-up.

And it wasn’t just Amy who took offence with the photo, with music fans alike putting the Premier on blast notice.

‘Please allow music venues to increase their capacities. It’s insulting seeing the number of people allowed to cram into sports stadiums while we are left with half capacities and no wriggle room,’ commented one person.

Added another fan: ‘Brisbane’s live music industry does so much for the community. We have some of the nation’s best creatives and you won’t let them work. They deserve more.’

Another fan fumed that the Premier was boasting about packing more than 41,500 people into a stadium amid the pandemic.

‘Live music can’t have 500 ppl in a venue but you’re bragging about the footy,’ they commented, adding, ‘#disgrace’.
