Amy Schumer gets a visit from her son Gene, one, on a break from filming Life & Beth in NYC

Amy Schumer looked every inch the doting mom as she enjoyed some quality time with her son Gene, one, on the set of Hulu’s upcoming comedy series Life & Beth on Wednesday.

While taking a break from her acting and directing duties, the 39-year-old stand-up comedienne was seen holding hands and strolling around New York City with her adorable toddler.

As the duo soaked up the warm springtime weather, the actress sported a plain grey t-shirt, jeans and her blonde hair in a low ponytail.

She completed her laid-back ensemble with a pair of white sneakers with blue shoelaces and a natural no-makeup makeup look.

Meanwhile, her little boy wore navy shorts and Nike sneakers.

At one point, Schumer sat with her baby in her lap on a park bench, before playfully swinging him in the air by his arms.

Schumer stars as Beth in the upcoming show, who’s ‘life looks pretty great on paper,’ but takes a turn as she dives into her past, according to the streaming service.

‘Impressive to everyone she grew up with. She makes a good living as a wine distributor. She’s in a long-term relationship with an attractive, successful guy and lives in Manhattan. When a sudden incident forces Beth to engage with her past, her life changes forever,’ it was shared.

‘Through flashbacks to her teen self, Beth starts to learn how she became who she is and who she wants to become. We’ll go on her journey toward building a more authentic life. Learning to express herself and living in an intentional way. A trip down memory lane is a strong source of trauma, comedy and moving forward,’ the synopsis concluded.

Michael Rapaport recently signed on to play teenaged Beth’s father, with Michael Cera also receiving a role in the comedian’s new show.

Amy previously said she wouldn’t be able to carry any future children after the process of welcoming Gene via IVF was ‘really tough’ on her.

In August, she explained: ‘We did IVF and IVF was really tough on me. I don’t think I could ever do IVF again. “I decided that I can’t be pregnant ever again. We thought about a surrogate, but I think we’re going to hold off for right now.’
